The world of hip-hop has known a lot of greats that have impacted the world positively, amongst which is the rapper known as Nipsey Hussle.
Who is Nipsey Hussle?

For all those who might not have heard of this emerging emcee, Ermias Asghedom popularly known as Nipsey Hussle was born and raised in the Crenshaw hood of South Los Angeles, California. He is of both Eritrean and African American descent, married to an American Actress, Lauren London and has a beautiful daughter called Emani.

The 32 year old rapper is known for his distinctive West Coast style and grass roots approach, and has been described as the next Snoop Dogg. With the release of so many iconic mixtapes, he caught the attention of the hip-hop world and secured features from the likes of Snoop Dogg and Drake. His drive, energy, powerful and relatable lyrics is what keeps the fans yearning for more.

How has Nipsey Hussle Impacted The World?

Although not a huge star yet compared to the likes of Jay Z, Kanye West and Dr Dre, Nipsey Hussle never fails to be stern in his opinions about controversial issues affecting the society today, some of which are racism and unemployment.

Nipsey Hussle’s route to fame is nothing short of inspirational, especially to young individuals who aren’t able to afford education. He believe success is achieved from sheer hard work and determination. Hence, his comment in an interview with the Cruz show about his journey to creative and economic freedom;

“Don’t play yourself for an opportunity. You’ll consume yourself in the opportunity. When it’s done, it’ll be discovered the way you got the opportunity was fraud”.

He also talks about how you have to be pliant with being misunderstood, underrated and ridiculed until you get the recognition you deserve. He believes it’s all a process to attaining a genuine level of success and happiness.

His advice and gems on how to attain financial and economic freedom isn’t the only way this rapper has impacted the society positively, he is also a humanitarian. With a net worth of $4.5 million, Nipsey Hussle has been giving back to the society in tremendous ways. Apart from inspiring young individuals to be upright and just, the California based rapper has put in his money in an amount of activities that would benefit the society, such as assisting Trinidad James in his second annual camp James celebrity basketball Game and Football Camp at Crenshaw high school.

This event done yearly, includes a sneaker drive where, over a hundred shoes are donated to help local families in need. There were also gift bags given to all the youths in attendance from the sponsors and celebrities who chose to help out.

He also opened up his flagship store for his clothing line named “Marathon”in Crenshaw. It is also the first flagship store in Crenshaw. The location of the store used to be Nipsey’s hangout spot called “Slauson’s tee”. The whole community gathered there back in the day for relaxation and a good time.

The unique aspect of this store is the fact that,  it is one of the few stores that actually hires individuals who have had a rough past.
